The Chin Mu Kwan Taekwon-Do
Federation recently completed our first recreational event with 30 Black Belts
and family attending. The CTF Cruise started out in Ft. Lauderdale
to Key West, Cozumel and then Coca Cay in the Bahamas. It was
great to have a CTF casual event where the members had a chance to be together
in an extremely fun environment and get to know each other better. Even better
was the opportunity for Grandmaster Kang to relax and bond with his CTF family.
Grandmaster Kang expressed how much he enjoyed the cruise. We all had a
wonderful time on the ship with all its activities, delicious food, the shore excursions,
beach and clear blue waters.
In the future we may plan
another casual CTF fun event, let us know your ideas.

Certain
Victory: In the martial context the meaning is: That no defeat is all
encompassing and that through hard work and perseverance the battle can be
won. The challenge is both mental, physical and spiritual.
This term is
usually seen on headbands in Korea and Japan. The head bands started in the
early Korean and Japanese history for priests and for warriors to wear under
their helmets to protect the head and keep sweat out of the eyes during battle.
Usually prayers were written on the headbands. Now it is worn during tests for
students in school or martial artist. It is thought that it helps the wearer to gather their spirits and show
determination and resolve.
